About Heather Campbell
I founded CommsMasters in 2002 and have spent over two decades advising senior leaders in complex STEM organisations across engineering, energy, construction and technology.
Over that time, I have worked alongside more than 3,000 leaders at C-suite, board and senior director level. The work has spanned growth, restructuring, crisis, leadership transition and structural change across multiple economic cycles.
My advisory work sits at the intersection of behaviour and performance. At senior levels, small shifts in judgement, influence and authority can carry significant organisational consequence.
My approach is grounded in science rather than intuition. Leadership is often described as an art. I see it differently. Human behaviour is shaped by predictable drivers. Emotion is not irrational; it is biological. Organisational systems are complex, but they are not random.
When understood properly, leadership dynamics can be analysed, strengthened and improved with discipline and logic.
I focus on strengthening how leaders operate in politically sensitive environments where clarity, challenge and commercial realism matter.
My perspective is grounded not only in research and organisational theory, but in commercial experience. Building and sustaining a firm over two decades has required risk management, disciplined decision-making and long-term value creation.
Engagements vary in shape and duration. The standard does not.
Clear thinking.
Sound judgement.
Commercial realism.
Absolute confidentiality.
